Refund Policy

Ember subscriptions are billed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar processes the payment, issues the invoice, and handles the money side of any refund; this page explains the policy we apply.
Try before you pay
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial that requires no card. The trial includes full features with a 2-mailbox limit. Because nothing is charged until you deliberately subscribe, the cleanest refund is the one you never need.
Cancellation
- Cancel anytime from the Polar customer portal, linked from your Settings & billing page — one click, no email required, no retention flow.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. Warmup continues until then, and you are not charged again.
- Disconnecting your mailboxes does not cancel the subscription by itself — cancel via the portal.
Refunds
- Monthly plans: if Ember didn't work for you, email support@1labs.ai within 14 days of a charge and we'll refund it. Past 14 days, refunds are at our discretion, but we read every request.
- Annual plans: within 30 days of the initial annual charge, we refund in full. After that, we refund the unused months on a pro-rata basis when we've materially failed to provide the service, or when the DPA gives you a termination right.
- Failed payments: if a renewal fails, you get a 3-day grace period before warmup pauses. Fix the payment in the portal and everything resumes where it left off.
- What we don't refund: charges for periods where the service ran as described but your placement didn't improve as fast as you hoped — deliverability outcomes are estimates, never promises, and our terms say so plainly.
How refunds are paid
Refunds are issued by Polar to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
